  • Preparing and submitting proposals to conferences about innovative teaching practice.

2007-2009 St Luke’s Grammar School, Sydney

  • Responsible for the development and support of the Science department staff and assistants.
  • Rewriting of the Science programs years 6-10 contextually and including the integration of digital technologies.
  • Introduced and taught the Marine and Aquaculture elective to stage 5 students.
  • Active member of the technology committee.

2000-2006 Oxford Falls Grammar School, Sydney
Head of Science and Outdoor Education

  • Involved in the establishment, development, planning and expansion of the Senior School Science Department facilities, resources and teaching programmes from years 7-12.
  • Responsible for the development and support of the Science department staff and assistants.
  • Successfully applied for an Australian Government Quality Teaching grant to develop teaching programs. The programs proved very successful and I was asked to present the work at an AIS Head of Schools conference
  • Established the Senior School annual camping programme. This included the development, planning and organisation of all camps for years 7-12.
  • Introduced and developed the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
  • Introduced and taught the Marine and Aquaculture elective to stage 5 students.

1998-1999 Christian Community High School, Regent Park Science Teacher / Middle School Teacher

  • Taught science classes 7 -10, Senior Science and Biology
  • Acted as a Middle School Core Teacher to a Year 7 class (teaching Science, Mathematics, PDH and Biblical Studies)

1996-1997 Coastal Environment Centre, Narrabeen
Environmental Educator (Casual)

  • Led school groups on environmental excursions around Narrabeen Lake catchment, rock platforms and beaches.

  • Developed and led bible talks and activities for school children in Yrs 3-12
  • Instructed activities such as sailing, canoeing, abseiling and bushwalking.
